What is Body Mass Index (BMI) ?

It is a measure of Obesity. Weight alone cannot diagnose Obesity, since it does not take the height of the person into consideration.

BMI = Weight (Kg) / Height 2 (meters)

Normal BMI is 18.5 to 25
BMI less than 18.5 is underweight.
BMI between 25 to 30 is overweight.
BMI between 30 to 40 is Obese.
BMI more than 40 is Very Obese.
